From: Chief Executive Officer or Director of Charitable Giving

In today’s world, three things stand out as critical priorities: Green Education Curriculum Development (GECD), the value of time, and the bottom line. That said, let us be realistic and frank—GDF needs your financial support.

Over the past eight months, GDF's CEO has dedicated time in Senegal and Mauritania, meeting with government officials, educators, and the people we aim to serve. These interactions provided firsthand insights into their challenges, including the pressing need for green education, industrial development, and meaningful technology transfer. By strengthening partnerships and providing education and training, GDF is laying the groundwork for sustainable progress.

The needs in Africa and the developing world are immense, while the resources are limited. Education systems are underfunded, food is scarce, water is rationed, and electricity—if available at all—is confined to urban areas. Diseases that are rare in modern societies continue to claim lives, and healthcare, which is often taken for granted in developed countries, remains a luxury for many.

Consider these statistics:

  • Doctor-to-patient ratio: Approximately 1:15,000 in many African nations compared to 1:250 in the United States.

  • Teacher-to-student ratio: Critically high, leaving teachers overwhelmed and students underserved.

The lack of basic education, healthcare infrastructure, and resources means that many are deprived of opportunities to improve their lives and communities.

We Need Your Help!

GDF is moving forward, but we cannot do it alone. We understand that organizations and charities increasingly ask for your financial support. However, we ask because we firmly believe in the righteousness of this cause and the profound need it addresses.

We hope the goals of this project resonate with you. This is more than just charity—it’s an opportunity to make a real difference where it is needed most. Your tax-deductible contribution can support GDF's initiatives and help build a future that prioritizes education, sustainability, and hope.

Here’s how you can help:

  • $1,000: Fund the development of green education resources for an entire classroom.

  • $100: Support teacher training and curriculum implementation.

  • $50: Provide educational supplies to underserved students.

  • Any amount you contribute will bring us closer to achieving our shared goal: changing the world, one community at a time.

We are grateful for your generosity and your time. Questions regarding the project and its programs can be found on our website: www.gdforg.com. For direct inquiries, please contact Cheikh Omar at (202) 459-7168, Bethesda, MD.

Upon receipt of your donation, we will send a letter confirming your contribution and providing updates on the success of our projects.

Thank you for your support. Together, we can make a lasting difference.

Sincerely,

The Global Development Foundation (GDF)
